Eleven years ago, Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she hasn’t heard from him since. Now, as she swipes through profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes again.

Josh’s reappearance will force her to delve once again into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-hidden secrets from her past.

The cast includes Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses, Harlots), Richard Armitage (Fool Me Once, Obsession), Jessica Plummer (EastEnders, The Girl Before), Steve Pemberton (Inside No9, Happy Valley), Paul Kaye (Sexy Beast, The Stranger ), Samantha Spiro (Sex Education, Ridley Road).

The cast also includes Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Bulletproof), James Nesbitt (Stay Close, Bloodlands), Lisa Faulkner (Archie, Unforgotten) Mary Malone (Doctor Who, The Prince) and Matt Jay-Willis (Wolves of War, Love is Blind).

Quay Street Productions executive producers Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee: “We are delighted that Victoria Asare-Archer is adapting Harlan’s brilliant book for Netflix.” Missing You is a thrilling ride with a lot of heart and we have a wonderful cast, that brings it to life.”

Victoria Asare-Archer: “Kat Donovan was exciting to write – she is such an incredibly messy, complicated woman. I’m really excited that we have an extremely talented ensemble on board – it’s a dream! I can’t wait to see her immerse herself in Harlan’s world.”
