Man fatally stabbed in Seattle

Seattle police are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead in the Rainier Valley neighborhood Wednesday evening.

After 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of an assault at a residence in the 3600 block of 33rd Avenue South.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s with a stab wound to the chest.

Officers and paramedics performed life-saving measures on the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police searched the area but did not find any suspects and no one is currently in custody.

It is not known what led to the fatal knife attack, but homicide detectives are investigating.
