Mötley Crüe, the legendary rockers, conquer the Las Vegas Strip again at Dolby Live | Cats | Entertainment

Mötley Crüe returns to Las Vegas this spring with “The Las Vegas Residency,” 11 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM running March 28 through April 19. This is Crüe’s third Las Vegas residency, following performances at the then Joint at Hard Rock Hotel (now Theater at the Virgin Hotel) in 2012 and 2013 Def Leppard, poison And Joan Jett & The Blackheartson September 9, 2022.

A statement announcing the residency said: “Mötley Crüe will take audiences on a journey back to their dark rock beginnings next spring. The immersive show immerses audiences in the band’s history and takes them through the record-breaking Stadium Tour.”

In a joint statement, the band said: “Mötley Crüe and Las Vegas have always been the perfect combination of extravagance and decadence. We always liked the idea of ​​residing in Las Vegas because we always liked the idea of ​​staying in one place to give fans a unique show. We look forward to starting rehearsals and working on many songs that fans have wanted for years.”

The band’s lineup for the Dolby Live series is unknown, but we can expect a frontman Vince NeilBassist Nikki Sixxdrummer Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5 carry out. Original guitarist Mick Mars announced his resignation from the band in October 2022 due to health reasons.

The band announced their retirement from touring and famously and publicly signed a contract in Hollywood in January 2014 that would mean they would no longer tour. But the contract to stop touring was later revoked and the band returned with a comeback in 2018 with the release of the Netflix biopic The Dirt.

The band said the legal agreement was “off the table” due to fan demand. The Crüe formed in LA in 1981 and has sold more than 100 million albums internationally, including seven platinum and multi-platinum albums in the US and 22 Top 40 mainstream rock hits.

In a 2022 interview, Neil, a former Las Vegas resident who now lives in Nashville, said, “We’re far from finished,” and predicted a third Las Vegas residency.

“We’ve definitely talked about doing it and everyone loves doing the residencies, so I’m like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to do it,'” Neil said. “We’ll just have to look at sometime in ’24 to be back in Las Vegas. But we’ll be back.”
