Passenger dies after crash on I-77

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a collision on I-77 South that left one person dead in Richland County.

According to authorities, the collision occurred on Wednesday around 9:20 p.m.

According to authorities, a Ford Mustang was traveling south on I-77 when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned near mile marker 15.

The passenger in the Mustang is dead.

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
