1 was transported to the hospital following the shooting at the Miramar apartment complex

MIRAMAR, Fla — One person was hospitalized after a shooting Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Miramar, authorities confirmed.

The shooting was reported at the gated Avalon Miramar Park Place apartment complex on the 11300 block of Southwest 30th Court.

Miramar police confirmed an adult victim was transported to a hospital, but further details were not immediately released.

Residents of the complex told Local 10 News that the shooting involved two men and that the shooter remains at large.

According to residents, a woman who knows both men was also at the scene, but it is unclear whether she was involved in any way.
