FedEx truck and tractor-trailer involved in NJ Turnpike accident – NBC10 Philadelphia

An early morning accident involving a FedEx truck and a second tractor-trailer caused lanes to be shut down on the New Jersey Turnpike in Springfield Township, Burlington County, early Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike north of Interchange 5 – CR 541 (Springfield Township), officials said.

The accident closed two southbound lanes of the three-lane highway. SkyForce10 was on scene and showed a broken down FedEx tractor trailer, stacks of boxes on the road, a second truck involved in the accident and traffic slowly moving past on the side of the road.

Officials have not yet released any information about the cause of the crash or whether anyone was injured.
