A man is wanted for assault with bricks in Brownsville

BROOKLYN, N.Y — An 18-year-old man was attacked late Friday night, Sept. 13, in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn after a verbal argument escalated into violence, police said. The incident occurred near the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Watkins Street around 11:39 p.m.

According to authorities, the unknown person hit the victim in the face with a brick before fleeing the scene on foot and heading east on Pitkin Avenue. The victim was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was treated in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with medium skin tone. He was last seen wearing a black Nike ski mask and a blue Nike tracksuit.

The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.

    The victim, who was only a black male, suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. Police transported him to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:01 p.m

    The crime scene remains under investigation. According to police, no weapons were recovered and no arrests were made.

    Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

  • Armed robbery suspect wanted after incident on Jamaica Avenue

    QUEENS, NY – Police are searching for an unknown male suspect involved in an armed robbery at a business location on Jamaica Avenue in Queens on Monday evening, September 23rd. According to authorities, the incident occurred around 8 p.m.

    The suspect entered the store at 95-20 Jamaica Avenue, displayed a rifle and demanded money from an employee. The employee quickly fled on foot through the back door of the restaurant and the suspect left the crime scene shortly afterwards.

    The suspect was last seen traveling south on 97th Street in a dark SUV. No injuries were reported during the incident.

    Police describe the suspect as male with a light complexion and a strong build. He was last seen carrying a rifle, wearing a pair of dark sunglasses on his head, a blue bandana covering his face, a gray T-shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes.

    Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
