PEEC NEWS RELEASE

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has announced a new time for its weekly, free Planetarium Sky Show. From now on the show will take place every Wednesday instead of 3 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. as before.

The community is invited to join PEEC for an exciting and informative experience in the planetarium led by one of its knowledgeable astronomers.

The program begins with an immersive 15-minute planetarium show, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session where participants can ask questions and request specific topics. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand your understanding of the universe in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

In addition to the planetarium show, PEEC offers a variety of free weekly events for all ages:

  • For families, Nature Playtime on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. offers toddlers, preschoolers and caregivers the opportunity to explore nature through play and sensory activities.
  • PEEC’s reptile program, Mondays from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., invites participants to discover native reptiles and learn more about their care and habitat. Please feel free to ask questions about the animal exhibits.
  • Birding with Bob takes place on Wednesdays from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. Meet bird expert Robert Walker in the observation room, ask questions and enjoy the views.
  • Happy Ramblers takes place Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Betty Ehart Center; And
