Sammy Guevara suffered an injury in the second scary moment in the ring before the 5th anniversary of AEW Dynamite began

There were some scary moments in the ring before the start of the AEW Dynamite 5-Year Anniversary Show tonight.

As previously mentioned, an indy wrestler was seriously injured prior to the AEW on TBS show in a match against Lady Frost that was taped for an upcoming episode of ROH On HonorClub.

The talent named Kelly Madan reportedly fell unconscious as a result of a spinning top rope spot.

In an additional match taped for ROH On HonorClub prior to the start of the special milestone AEW Dynamite show at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sammy Guevara was injured.

“The Spanish God” was also reportedly knocked unconscious in a match against Serpentico taped for ROH on HonorClub. The injury occurred when Guevara attempted to hit a cutter on Serpentico as he came off the top rope.

The timing was reportedly “a little off” and Serpentico ended up with Guevara’s face underneath him, causing Guevara to fall unconscious.

As a result, Bryce Remsberg, the match’s referee, immediately stopped the match and declared Serpentico the winner, which was probably not the originally planned outcome of the fight.

While this was happening, AEW medical staff immediately went to the ring to check on Guevara, with a fan in attendance noting that they appeared to be performing concussion protocol in the ring. Guevara was eventually taken to the back on a stretcher.
