Forest guards put out fire to scare away tigers in Kaliabor –

The forest department in Kaliabor is intensifying efforts to address rising tensions as locals face increasing threats from tigers.

The forest department resorted to gunfire to scare away the predators. Tea workers at Sonari Tea Estate in Kaliabor region reported seeing tigers lurking among the trees, adding to the unease.

In a recent incident, a young tiger calf was reportedly killed by a forest official while he was trying to control the situation. This tragic incident has further fueled the fear of residents of several surrounding villages who already live in constant fear of tiger encounters.

The people of Kaliabor are calling for more effective solutions to protect both wildlife and human life as the tiger threat continues to impact daily life in the area.
