Boy seriously injured in dirt bike accident in Greece

Greece, NY – A boy was seriously injured in a dirt bike accident Wednesday evening.

The child was traveling west on Maiden Lane in Greece, following another child and his father who were riding an ATV. An SUV traveling east on Maiden passed the ATV as it attempted to turn onto Old Pine Lane, but did not see the dirt bike rider and struck the boy, according to Lt. Josh Spearman of the Greek Police.

The dirt bike rider has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV involved, for whom no ticket was issued, was not injured.
