Here’s how to watch the debate between candidates for Maine’s 2nd District

U.S. Rep. Jared Golden and state Rep. Austin Theriault, R-Fort Kent, meet Thursday night for their first debate in a nationally watched race in the 2nd Congressional District.

Golden, a Democrat and Marine veteran who first won election to Congress in 2018, and Theriault, a former NASCAR driver who served one term in the Maine House of Representatives, will meet for the first of three debates before the Nov. 5 election .

The Bangor Daily News and CBS 13 will moderate Thursday’s debate.

Here’s how you can follow the debate in the 2nd District

The debate begins on Thursday at 7 p.m. Live streams are available on bangordailynews.com and wgme.com. Viewers in the CBS 13 coverage area will find the debate on Channel 13.

When are the other debates?

Two more televised debates ahead of the November election are scheduled for next week.

The Maine State Chamber of Commerce and News Center Maine will host a debate on Monday. In the Bangor and Northern Maine markets, WABI and WAGM will host the final event on Wednesday.
