The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the reported assault of a teenager in Fort Walton Beach

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a report that a teenager was sexually assaulted in a storage unit on Hollywood Boulevard on September 30.

The teen told officers that she left a Mountain Dew on the curb outside a convenience store at 1209 Miracle Strip Parkway around 6:30 p.m. After briefly leaving to say goodbye to a friend, she came back about ten minutes later and drank her lemonade. She reported that she was dazed, then lost consciousness and later woke up in the storage room, where she said she was attacked.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall black man with a short beard and dreadlocks, was reportedly driving a white van. The teen said he dropped her off at 9 Eglin Parkway around 8:30 p.m
