Drevon Butler-Warren, 25, has been identified as the man found dead outside the grocery store in Mission Valley

Authorities on Wednesday publicly released the name of a man who was found dead behind a Mission Valley grocery store last week.

According to San Diego police, Drevon Butler-Warren was found around 7:30 a.m. Thursday outside the Food 4 Less market in the 7700 block of Hazard Center Drive. Officers responded to a report of an unconscious person.

Butler-Warren was pronounced dead at the scene, Lt. Lou Maggie.

A decision on Butler-Warren’s cause of death remains on hold until autopsies are completed.
