Fluharty starts re-election campaign

WHEELING, W.Va. – West Virginia Delegate Shawn Fluharty kicked off his re-election campaign Wednesday evening at Wheeling’s Waterfront Hall.

Attendees were able to enjoy live music, food and the opportunity to speak with Fluharty about his vision for the future. He said the event is a way to engage with the community.

“Local elections are very important,” Fluharty said. “We deal with national politics and that can take the oxygen out of the room. But what’s happening in Charleston, I think, has a greater impact on your daily life.” So we have to remember that our local elections impact your daily life, and it’s important to go out and meet them and have those conversations, And that’s what tonight is about.”
