Trump is fuming over the release of the bombshell election case document

Donald Trump is clearly not pleased with the release of a bombshell 165-page filing Wednesday by special counsel Jack Smith that lays out a detailed timeline of how the former president attempted to get back into power after losing the 2020 election power to reach.

The former president initially laid out his case in various Truth Social posts later on Wednesday, claiming that the unsealing of the document was another Democratic conspiracy.

He then repeated many of those claims in a nearly two-minute rant to NewsNation on Wednesday night in which Trump bragged about winning the classified documents case in Florida, called Democratic opponent Kamala Harris “more incompetent than Biden” and made the allegations There is “nothing new” in the document.

Trump said in his initial response to the documents: wrote: “The publication of this falsehood-ridden, unconstitutional J6 letter immediately after Tim Walz’s disastrous debate performance and 33 days before the most important election in our country’s history is another blatant attempt by the Harris-Biden regime to undermine and weaponize.” American Democracy and Interference in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

“The deranged Jack Smith, the Harris-Biden Justice Department’s hand-picked prosecutor, and the Washington, DC-based Radical Left Democrats, are HIGHLY ENGAGED to continue using the Justice Department as a weapon to stay in power.”

Claiming that his name is “dominating the election cycle” and “leading in the polls,” Trump claimed that the “radical Democrats throughout the Deep State have gone completely crazy,” without mentioning who he was quoting. “This entire case is a partisan, unconstitutional witch hunt that should be dismissed outright, just like the Florida case was dismissed!”

Trump then accused the Democratic Party of being “guilty of the worst election interference in American history” and of “weaponizing the Justice Department against me because they know I’m WINNING and they’re desperately trying to protect their failed candidate, Kamala Harris.” support.”

He then went on a rant against the Justice Department, claiming in another post, “I didn’t rig the 2020 election, they did!”

The unsealed documents in Trump’s election subversion case, released by Chief U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, do not bode well for Trump, if the damning array of allegations are anything to go by. It includes Trump’s reaction to the news that his Vice President Mike Pence had been safely taken to a secure location in the US Capitol (“So what?”), and how Trump allegedly said to his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka: ” That’s not the case.” Regardless of whether you won or lost the election. You still have to fight like hell.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung expressed outrage at the release of the document to Reuters, telling the media outlet: “This entire case is a partisan, unconstitutional witch hunt that should be dismissed in its entirety along with ALL remaining Democratic hoaxes.” The Trump campaign did not immediately respond a request for comment from the Daily Beast.

Trump then spoke to NewsNation in Houston, Texas on Wednesday evening and expressed outrage at the allegations.

“He’s a crazy person,” Trump said of special counsel Jack Smith. “He just lost the big documents case, that was the biggest of them all.” In August, Smith formally appealed a district judge’s dismissal of the case in July.

“This was a weapon of the government and that’s why it was released 30 days before the election,” Trump said. “And there is nothing new in it, by the way, nothing new. They rigged the election. I didn’t rig the election. They rigged the election.” He repeated these claims again and again.

The former president criticized Smith for releasing the documents, although he claimed he was stunned by the information. “They should never have allowed the information to become public,” he said, adding: “My poll numbers have gone up instead of down. It’s pure election interference.”
