Richland County deputy fired for domestic violence

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – A Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) deputy was arrested Monday.

According to RCSD, 26-year-old Brandon Davis was charged with second-degree domestic violence and taken to the county jail.

Davis had been with the RCSD since July 2023 and most recently served as a patrol officer in the Dentsville area.

“Domestic violence is never the answer,” said Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott. “And if you make the decision to lay a hand on someone, you are responsible for your actions and the consequences. No one is above the law.”

RCSD said Davis’ employment was terminated following the charges.
