Is Bank of America down? Some users report app issues – NBC New York

If you’re a Bank of America customer who sees a zero balance in your account on Wednesday in the bank’s app or online banking, you’re not alone.

Some Bank of America customers reported problems accessing their online accounts and viewing their balances Wednesday afternoon.

Thousands of reports arrived on the website Downdetector.com, starting around 12:30 p.m. ET and continuing into the afternoon. According to Downdetector’s “Map of Outages and Reported Issues,” reports were filed from across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston and Chicago.

Customers received messages stating “Accounts temporarily unavailable” and “Some accounts and/or funds are temporarily unavailable.” Some showed a zero balance or a dash instead of the normal balance.

Bank of America answered customers’ questions about the bank’s Help Account on X.

Bank of America released a statement: “Some customers today are experiencing a problem accessing their account and balance information. These issues are being addressed and are largely resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Bank of America shares ended the day flat, closing at 39.23.
