Man is accused of ramming a car through the fence and stabbing a person in the incident in Rokeby

A Howrah man is facing charges after he allegedly drove his vehicle through a fence and hit two people who were standing on the lawn in front of their house.

The 36-year-old is accused of breaking through the fence on Tollard Drive in Rokeby before 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Police said the couple on the lawn were “forced to move out of the way of the vehicle” to avoid being hit.

“It is also alleged that the man stabbed one of the occupants in the arm as he attempted to gain entry to the vehicle,” a spokesman said.
