Greene County judge sends criminal violation case against roofer to district court

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A Greene County judge has decided to move a criminal case against a roofer spotlighted in an “On Your Side Investigation” to district court.

Glenn Jessen operated Midwest Roofing Commercial and Residential and Overland Roof Exchange. After the preliminary hearing, a judge dismissed two charges but found there was probable cause to believe crimes had been committed. He is now charged with 22 felony counts of fraudulent business practices.

Several customers told the judge they paid thousands for no work. Jessen’s lawyer argued that these were civil cases and not criminal cases.

He returns to court later this month.
