1 injured in shooting on Saddletree Lane in Martinez

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – One person was injured in a shooting in Martinez on Wednesday, according to authorities.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to the 300 block of Saddletree Lane in reference to a shooting.

Deputies say the shooting victim had “superficial wounds.”

According to the sheriff’s office, a suspect is currently in custody.
