D.C. police are trying to identify the suspect in the attack that left one injured in the Northwest

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. police are asking for the community’s help in identifying a person they say was involved in a serious assault in the Northwest.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Columbia Road, Northwest, at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, for the reported assault.

When they arrived at the scene, officers discovered the suspect had physically assaulted a person before fleeing the scene, officials said.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
