CRAS reports the highest summer travel number ever

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Regional Airport Authority reported record-breaking numbers for summer travel at John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Rickenbacker International Airport.

Combined, CRAA recorded 2.58 million passengers, with June and July being the busiest months in CRAA history.

“Our summer numbers are a testament to the trust our passengers place in us and the hard work of our dedicated team,” CRAA President and CEO Joseph Nardone said in a press release. “We are committed to enabling seamless travel while preparing to break ground on our new terminal at John Glenn International to meet growing demand and improve the customer journey.”

August also became the busiest August ever. The 2024 season exceeded the previous season by 8%.

CMH and LCK had an average of 134 departures per day. Records were broken in seven of the first eight months of 2024, according to the CRAA.
