NJ driver dies in Maine – NECN

A man was killed when he collided with a moose on Interstate 95 in rural Maine on Sunday, police said.

According to Maine State Police, the elk also died in the crash, which was reported around 7 p.m. in T2 R9, a disorganized area near Mount Katahdin.

The motorcyclist was identified as Anand Sreedharan, a 50-year-old from Princeton, New Jersey. Police said he was heading south when the moose strayed into his trail and was struck by the vehicle, sending him flying through the air and eventually succumbing to his injuries.

The crash was still under investigation as of Wednesday.
