State Patrol investigates school bus crash near Elderon

ELDERON, Wis. (WSAW) – The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating a chain reaction accident involving a school bus.

The accident occurred Wednesday morning on Highway 49 near Elm Road north of Elderon

Garrett Rogowski, superintendent of the Wittenberg School District, said there were 38 students on the bus at the time of the accident. He said the bus was stopped around 7:30 a.m. to pick up students. A car was also stopped behind the bus. A second car failed to stop and pushed the first car into the bus.

Rogowski said no students were injured. A second bus came to take the students to school.

The condition of the people in the cars was initially unknown. NewsChannel 7 will update this story as more details become available.
