“I don’t think about it. I’m not worried,” the Dutchman told Sky Sports.

“We will make the season a success. Nothing is easy, but there is no reason to panic. We can sort it out, this team can sort it out.

“It’s a poor performance (against Tottenham). I have to address the problems to provide solutions to the team. The most important thing is to keep the faith. This is the most important message because if you lose your faith, you lose everything.

“Even after all the setbacks (against Spurs) we kept going. This is a team, they want to fight for each other. When we lose, everyone is disappointed and frustrated, but that’s also our fuel.”

Ten Hag is also adamant he can ignore criticism and focus on the challenge of turning around United’s faltering start to the new season.

“You have to deal with criticism and not make too much of it,” he said.
