ATP China Open: Jannik Sinner faces a new challenge as fears of injury increase tension in the exciting title fight against Carlos Alcaraz

Jannik Sinner can’t seem to get rid of the anger. Before the China Open summit, there were of course high expectations and an exciting encounter. Only this time, the Italian superstar has once again dashed fans’ expectations of keeping the competition seemingly clean. Sinner is known for complicating mid-game showdowns with injury fears when faced with the barrel, but he keeps conceding goals and disappointing the community again with his recent physical impairment when he dueled with Carlos Alcaraz.

The world number 1 started strong – he used his strengths and narrowly prevailed against the Spanish superstar 7:6 (6) in the opening set. What came next was Sinner being left behind after seemingly feeling discomfort in his knees. This in turn stopped their contest mid-game. Additionally, fans criticized the two-time Grand Slam champion for his recent on-court antics, which may have been carried out to disrupt Alcaraz’s swing… or so they thought. Whatever the reason, it doesn’t look young talents. Horrible scenes in Beijing!
