Bhopal: A farmer was electrocuted while connecting a motor to electricity in Gunga Power supply linethe police said on Tuesday.
Police said 22-year-old deceased Raju, also known as Rajesh Thakur, went to his field on Monday afternoon to connect the motor cable to the power line.
Believing that there was a planned 12-hour power outage, Raju tried to connect the cable to the power line but received a severe penalty Electric shock because the power line was live at the time. His family rushed him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
After receiving a report from the hospital, the Gunga police registered a case and handed over the body to his family after a post-mortem.
