Sean “Diddy” Combs faces 120 more sexual assault charges – Celebrity

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul and entertainment icon, is at the center of a legal firestorm with 120 additional sexual assault lawsuits expected to be filed against him in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

The lawsuits, announced during a news conference in Houston, follow a cascade of allegations against Combs and reportedly represent one of the largest sexual misconduct cases in recent history diversity.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents several plaintiffs, said at a news conference: “The entertainment industry’s biggest secret, which wasn’t really a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world. “The wall of silence has now been broken.”

The alleged victims, equally men and women, were reportedly between nine and 38 years old at the time of the incidents, which spanned 30 years and dated back to the early 1990s.

Disturbingly, it was revealed that 25 of the victims were minors at the time of the alleged assaults and some victims had already spoken to the FBI. Half of the complainants reportedly reported police or sought medical attention when the incidents occurred.

Many victims say they were drugged, with several drug tests showing horse tranquilizers. Lawyers working on the case said they received over 3,000 responses after urging victims to come forward, reducing that number to 120 credible cases.

However, Combs’ legal team continues to deny the allegations. Provided in a statement diversityCombs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, said, “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every unfounded allegation in what has become a ruthless media circus.” Yet Mr. Combs strongly and categorically denies any allegation that he sexually abused anyone, including minors, as false and defamatory.”

Wolff reiterated that Combs was ready to clear his name in court by basing his defense on evidence and not what she described as “speculation.”

The legal saga began in November 2023 when Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a sexual assault lawsuit that was settled just a day later. However, this case triggered a wave of similar allegations. Notably, Dawn Richard, a former member of Diddy – Dirty Money, and another woman who filed a forcible rape lawsuit in the early 2000s have also come forward.

Add fuel to the fire, CNN Earlier this year, a 2016 video resurfaced showing Combs attacking Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel, confirming some of her claims in her lawsuit. Combs publicly apologized on Instagram, describing the video as an example of him “hitting rock bottom” and admitting his behavior was “inexcusable.”

Combs was arrested in New York City last month after his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security in March. The arrest followed a grand jury indictment charging him with conspiracy to commit racketeering, forcible sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and solicitation for prostitution.

The indictment, which broadly echoes many of the allegations in the lawsuits, described a “persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse” that Combs allegedly exhibited toward women and others over the years.

Among the more shocking details of the indictment are allegations that Combs and his associates organized day-long events known as “freak-offs” in which victims were forced to participate in “freak-off supplies,” including drugs and over 1,000 baby bottles of oil and lubricants were reportedly seized during raids on his homes in March. Combs is also accused of filming these events to encourage victims to remain silent.

Combs remains in custody after being denied bail. The judge called him a flight risk and a threat to society. He recently appealed that decision, but it will take about three weeks for the courts to consider his case.

As more lawsuits are expected to be filed in the coming weeks, the scope and scope of the allegations against Combs continue to grow, placing the once untouchable music mogul under intense scrutiny.
