“My husband and I are relieved that Gabe is doing so well. We know he still has a long way to go before he is fully healed,” Angie said Peopleand shared that she, her husband Will and her father were also involved in the accident. Her father, Bob Schmick, “was taken by ambulance to another hospital.”

Gabe “sleeps through the night and doesn’t want to have anyone else with him when he sleeps. He gets tired very quickly and his best time is from when he wakes up until about two hours later,” she explained.
