While speaking to Rediff, Big B spoke about the gravity of the situation and expressed his concern for Aishwarya’s well-being. He recalled the serious consequences of the accident and said:

“I asked Aishwarya’s mother if she would like to bring her daughter back to Mumbai. We organized Anil Ambani’s private plane. Since there is no night landing facility in Nashik, we had to take permission from Delhi to land the aircraft at the military base, which is 45 minutes away from the hospital. The seats had to be removed from the plane. And everyone dismisses it as a small, disproportionate incident.”

The veteran actor also revealed the impact the accident and Aishwarya’s wounds had on him. Talking about it, he said that he couldn’t sleep for two nights after seeing it all unfold before his eyes. Amitabh Bachchan also elaborated on the brutal injuries suffered by Aishwarya and said:

“I couldn’t sleep for two nights. Seeing this before my eyes! Her back was torn by cactus thorns. The bone in the back of her feet is broken. She suffered serious cuts. And her injury was reported as minor.”
