Suspect in custody after officer-involved shooting in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) – A suspect is in custody following an officer-involved shooting Tuesday evening.

It happened in the area of ​​College Avenue and Curry Road, west of Scottsdale Road and north of the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.

The crime scene is about two miles north of Arizona State University’s Tempe campus.

It’s unclear if any officers were injured or what the suspect’s condition is.

Police have not said what led to the shooting.

An investigation is underway.
