Police investigating Tuesday night shooting, one victim reported

Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting at Seek Lane Neighborhood Park in Silver Spring on Tuesday, October 1st.
According to police, “3D officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 9:45 p.m..” There is one victim. Officials are on site and are investigating. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.”

Public safety reporter Cordell Pugh tweeted that 3rd District officers located and assisted the victim before emergency medical services arrived. We will provide an update as more information becomes available.

Tuesday, approximately 9:40 p.m., person shot in Seek Lane Neighborhood Park (Montgomery County, MD). Multiple calls reported numerous shots fired; @MCPnews 3rd District Officers located and assisted a critical victim prior to 🚑 arrival; @ParkPolice also on site.
