MANILA, Philippines – A bomb threat disrupted hearings at the Pasig City Hall of Justice on Tuesday after all staff were forced to evacuate.

In a report sent to the media, Pasig police chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan said the court clerk received the bomb alert via email at 8:45 a.m., which led to a search, but it turned out to be negative.

The police explosives disposal team declared the area cleared at 9:20 a.m

“The email source is being investigated by the PNP Cybercrime Group,” Mangaldan said.

Police reminded the public that spreading false information or threats related to bombs, explosives or similar devices is prohibited by law and violators face severe penalties. – Believe Argosino
