Man faces charges after sexually assaulting young girl at Fish Creek Park

A man is charged after a A young girl was sexually assaulted at Fish Creek Park two months ago.

According to Calgary police, the incident occurred when a seven-year-old girl was with her mother at a swimming hole in the park called Ice Caves on August 1.

It is suspected that an unknown man sexually abused the girl while she was swimming in a stream. At the time, the girl’s mother was sitting on the bank with several other families.

According to investigators, the girl told her mother what happened as the couple left the park, and the mother immediately called police.

Police have charged 38-year-old Aaron Michael Bolton with sexual assault and sexual molestation of a child.

He will appear in court on October 22nd.
