Tulsa man sentenced to 25 years in prison for child pornography and petty assault

TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John D. Russell sentenced a Tulsa resident to 300 months in prison for possession of child pornography and coercion of a minor.

Justin Ray Walters, 49, was sentenced to 300 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release.

Walters must also register as a sex offender.

According to court documents, from November 2022 to April 2023, Walters had sexually explicit conversations with a victim he knew was under 16 years old.

Walters also possessed more than 600 images of child sexual abuse, some under the age of 12.
