1 person killed in car crash in Monongalia County

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – A vehicle accident in Monongalia County left one person dead Tuesday morning.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on Hartman Run Road.

A Subaru Legacy was traveling in the southbound lane when it crossed the center line into the northbound lane and struck a Ford box truck head-on.

Three people were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital and the driver of the Subaru died as a result of his injuries.

The driver’s name is not being released at this time, deputies said.

Responding crews were assisted at the scene by the Morgantown and Brookhaven fire departments and Mon EMS.
