Police say the death in northeast Calgary is not believed to be criminal

Calgary police say a death in northeast Calgary that was deemed suspicious is no longer being investigated as a criminal matter.

Emergency responders were called to the 100 block of Cityside Manor NE around 9:40 p.m. Monday for reports of someone in medical distress, police said in a statement early Tuesday.

Police said in a later news release that after further investigation, it was believed the person’s death was not criminal and that no further information would be released.
