Student injured in stabbing at Meadowbrook HS

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A student is in the hospital after a stabbing at Meadowbrook High School on Tuesday.

Chesterfield officers responded to the high school because they received reports of an assault with a deadly weapon.

When officers arrived, they found a student suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A suspect, also a student, is in custody. There are no suspects at this time and no further threat to the community,” Chesterfield police said.

The school remains closed.

Police say parents can go to the Meadowdale Library to see their children again.
