Boeing, ex-CEO, cannot escape allegations of fraud related to 737 MAX

Boeing Co. and its former chief executive face securities fraud charges in connection with their comments after two 737 MAX plane crashes, a federal court said.

Boeing shareholders’ amended statement of claim established a valid securities fraud claim against the aerospace giant and its former CEO Dennis Meilenburg, Judge Franklin U. Valderrama said Monday for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
