TARC, PARC offers rides to the St. James Court Art Show

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) and the Parking Authority of River City (PARC) are partnering for another year to help art lovers enjoy the St. James Court Art Show in Old Louisville visit.

From Friday through Sunday, visitors can park their cars at PARC’s Brown Hotel Parking Garage at 658 South Third Street for $15, which includes a round-trip ticket to the art exhibit through TARC, according to an announcement.

Since the buses run approximately every 15 minutes, PARC operations staff are available to issue tickets in the garage on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are pleased to continue to build on a strong partnership with PARC to provide services that benefit our community,” said TARC Executive Director Ozzy Gibson. “TARC is pleased to support the art exhibition and make it easier for you to find parking.”

From the Brown Hotel, participants will board at the “TARC Boarding Here” sign near the Brown Hotel Garage and South Third Street. Returning from the art exhibit, visitors will look for the same entry sign at South First Street and West Magnolia Avenue and take the bus back downtown.

“Spend more time at the art exhibition and less time in traffic. Park at PARC and ride TARC,” said PARC Executive Director Michael Tudor.

The journey takes around 15 minutes each way, but depends on traffic. The first bus is scheduled to leave the Brown Hotel parking garage each morning at 10:05 a.m. and the last bus is scheduled to leave the art exhibition each evening at 6:27 p.m.
