Police shooting in Northwood, NH leaves one dead, officer injured – NBC Boston

A man was shot and killed by police at a home in Northwood, New Hampshire, Tuesday morning, according to the attorney general’s office.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said it was responding to the scene at a home on Route 4. It said police initially went to the scene for a disturbance call. A police officer was injured and authorities said there is no known danger to the public at this time.

The identity of the man who was shot is being withheld pending notification of family, the attorney general’s office said. An autopsy will be ordered by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The name of the officer involved in the incident is being withheld pending the completion of a formal interview.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation, the Attorney General’s Office said.
