“American Pickers” star Frank Fritz has died, his former co-star Mike Wolfe announced on social media Tuesday morning.

The History Channel and Cineflex Productions also shared a statement with FOX News Digital confirming his death.

Wolfe said on Facebook and Instagram that he was heartbroken to share the news.

“We have been on countless journeys and covered so many miles together and I feel blessed to have been by his side as he made one final journey home. I love you buddy and will miss you so much,” Wolfe wrote alongside a photo of the two hugging.

Wolfe did not share any further details about Fitz’s death other than to say that he passed away Monday evening.

Fritz suffered a stroke in 2022, which Wolfe also shared on social media at the time.

For some time afterwards, Fritz was not a member of the “American Pickers”. He was reportedly fired after an almost two-year break. The reality TV star took some time to recover from back surgery.

“American Pickers” follows the hosts’ travels across the country in search of antique treasures to collect or resell. It first aired in 2010 on The History Channel.

Various others have taken turns accompanying Wolfe on treasure hunting road trips since Fritz’s departure from the series.

“We are sad to announce that our friend and beloved member of the HISTORY Channel and the ‘American Pickers’ family, Frank Fritz, passed away on September 30, 2024,” said The History Channel and Cineflex Productions Statement read. “Frank made American Pickers for over a decade. We will always remember “the bearded charmer” and his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bicycles. Our thoughts are with Frank’s loved ones during this difficult time. We will miss him very much.”
