Dan Campbell was so excited in the locker room after the Lions’ win over the Seahawks

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell isn’t afraid to give an impassioned speech in the locker room, and Monday night was no different following the team’s hard-fought 42-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

“Hey man, it feels good to win again, doesn’t it?” said Campbell. “Okay, man, we’ve been talking for over a week, man. All for one to get us to three. This is outstanding. The best thing we’re doing right now, man, that game was so obvious. We took the ball, man, We didn’t quite get going on offense, you come out and hold on, man, and all of a sudden we’re on top, like we were going to start the game went back and forth like that, it did Really done it, man!” Campbell added.

According to Campbell, the Lions were too slow offensively to start the game. Quarterback Jared Goff was obviously sharp as he went a perfect 18-for-18 passing for 292 yards and two touchdown passes on Monday night. He also caught a touchdown pass on a trick play in the red zone.

But the Lions’ scoring didn’t get going until late in the first quarter, when the Lions capped a 12-play, 93-yard drive with a touchdown run by David Montgomery. From there, the Lions forced a fumble and promptly scored on the ensuing possession to take a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.

“Good teams complement each other, man! This is a great victory. That’s one hell of a win. We’re back to three, man. And you don’t worry about what anyone else is doing!”

The Lions actually have three wins again. They enter a bye week before traveling to Dallas on October 13th at 4:25 p.m. ET.
