2024 Week 6 12-Team College Football Playoff Rankings Prediction

2024 Week 6 12-Team College Football Playoff Rankings Prediction

The Louisville football team failed in its first big test of the season. They had the opportunity to show that they were a serious contender to make the top 12 College Football Playoff teams. Instead, a cavalcade of stupid mistakes cost them the win and they lost to Notre Dame 31-24.

Perhaps the only good news for the Cardinals is that this wasn’t an ACC game. All of their ACC-related goals have yet to be achieved. The other good news for them is that other teams also failed last weekend. That still gives them a chance to be a great team.

In this week’s CFP predictions table, the Cardinals won’t like where they are. But they have to win these tough games if they want to get the respect they think they deserve. So what were the big moves in this week’s College Football Playoff prediction table?

As you can see, Louisville fell out of the standings this week. Notre Dame is using this win to get back into the thick of things. It was an impressive victory. However, no win was more impressive than Alabama’s win over Georgia, and that puts them way up there.

Ole Miss is out after being upset by Kentucky at home. I never really believed in her and now my feelings have been confirmed. Missouri is another team I don’t have much faith in, but they keep winning. That’s enough to get them into the table this week.

Miami appears to be the strongest team in the ACC after surviving a scare against Virginia Tech. This is the team Louisville is chasing at the top. The good news is that they have the Hurricanes at home, which will make the game a little easier.

The next few weeks will be critical to the future of the College Football Playoff.
