Motorcyclist dead after collision with deer in Lehigh County | Lehigh Valley Regional News

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. – A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a deer in Lehigh County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 4000 block of Mountain Road in Washington Township.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as Frederick Brauchle III, 64, of Germansville, Heidelberg Township. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:50 a.m.

The cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head. The coroner confirmed that the manner of death was accidental.

During this investigation, Mountain Road was closed between Furnace Road in Washington Township and Jones Road in Heidelberg Township.

Mountain Road reopened at 8:30 a.m
