Austin police are investigating the second murder in less than 12 hours

AUSTIN, Texas – Austin police are investigating an incident in the 12000 block of Research Boulevard as the latest homicide in the city.

Officers responded to multiple 911 calls in the North Brooke Plaza parking lot.

The calls came in around 2:45 a.m. and when officers arrived, they found two injured victims.

One victim was taken to a local hospital while the other died at the scene.

Officials say a third person involved in the shooting was also taken to a hospital with injuries.

The police assume that there is no danger to the public.

No suspect or victim information has been released at this time.

It’s the second murder investigation in less than 12 hours.
