New Rochelle police arrest woman on human trafficking charges

NEW ROCHELLE – A 25-year-old woman was arrested by New Rochelle investigators and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force on two counts of human trafficking. Nana Gyapond had a full extradition warrant from Jefferson County, Alabama.

The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force had received information that she was in the Nardozzi Place area of ​​New Rochelle.

Police located her vehicle in the parking lot of LA Fitness at 75 Nardozzi Place and she was arrested without incident.

Gyapond, who lives in McLeansville, North Carolina, was charged in New York with two counts of evading justice.
