Princess Beatrice ‘devastated’ over Prince Andrew drama and ‘avoids’ Royal Lodge: report

Princess Beatrice is “heartbroken” and “devastated” by the drama surrounding her disgraced father, Prince Andrew, according to a report.

The 36-year-old Princess of York appeared in Amazon Prime’s “A Very Royal Scandal” – a dramatized version of the infamous 2019 BBC interview in which Andrew opened up about his business dealings and relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

As a result, Beatrice is now “tired of being humiliated” and feels “caught in the middle of the controversy” surrounding her scandal-plagued father.

“There’s a stress hole there and for some reason Beatrice is always stuck in the middle of things, playing peacemaker on her father’s behalf,” a source told New Idea Magazine via GB News.

“She doesn’t want to do this anymore and realizes it’s been a pattern her whole life.”

“No one wants to be around him when he’s struggling with so much right now. “Beatrice is heartbroken, of course,” the insider added.

The source said that Beatrice, who is a “daddy’s girl”, is now “desperately” hoping that the hype surrounding the TV series is over.

“A Very Royal Scandal” specifically follows reporter Emily Maitlis (played by Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson) as she chases the story and lands the interview, before covering the actual events leading up to and during the interview with Prince Andrew (played by Golden Globe dramatized nominee Michael Sheen).

The show, the third season of a critically acclaimed anthology about British political and royal scandals, aired exclusively on Prime Video earlier this month.

Elsewhere, palace insiders told the outlet that Beatrice is now staying away from the Royal Lodge, her father’s royal residence.

Andrew has lived at the luxurious $38 million estate on the grounds of Windsor Castle since 2004. He lives there with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Andrew has ignored his brother King Charles’ request to move to the smaller Frogmore Cottage, which is currently empty.

Instead, Andrew reportedly hopes to wait and leave the royal digs to Beatrice and her sister Eugenie as heirs.
