Three hospitalized after Allegan County crash | WKZO | All Kalamazoo

SALEM TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three people are hospitalized after a collision between an SUV and a truck in Allegan County Monday afternoon.

According to the sheriff’s office, calls came in just after 5 p.m. to report a crash with injuries at 30th Street and 144th Avenue in Salem Township.

Officers discovered the SUV was traveling eastbound and failed to stop at a stop sign, causing it to collide with the northbound truck.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors, but police believe some of the injuries may have been due to seatbelt use.

Two occupants of the SUV and the sole occupant of the truck were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

The accident caused a power outage in the immediate area.
